Andrea set up pre-school music classes from her home back in 1995 when her own children were very young. Starting with just two small classes a week, it soon became apparent that Andrea's unique style of teaching had hit the spot, for the organisation quickly moved out of the home and rapidly grew.  Andrea had previously studied Primary Education at Degree Level for two years and also obtained a JEB Teaching Diploma.

She is one of a handful of teachers in UK to hold a qualification specific to early years music teaching (University of Roehampton Certificate in Early Years Music - Kodaly), which she passed in 2004. Using the best current practice and drawing from a variety of musical educational approaches, Andrea has developed our current syllabus and has personally trained each of our Music Train teachers.

Families joining our classes for the very first time are invited to try a single session before deciding whether or not they wish to sign up for the rest of the term. If you do wish to join for the term, an additional £6 registration fee is charged for families that have never previously attended. This is only ever charged once per family and future siblings do not need to pay a registration fee. The fee covers the cost of the welcome pack consisting of a welcome booklet and one child's T-shirt. Additional T-shirts can be purchased for £4.

Cancelled classes

We regret that if classes have to be cancelled due to force majeure such as snow, or on specific medical advice because of the risk posed by swine flu, they cannot be refunded.

Location

The venue is the brand new wing of the Mrs Howard Memorial Hall, Norton Way South, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 1NX. This Grade II listed building was Letchworth's first public building and has recently been extended and upgraded. It is situated within a reasonably priced car park, adjacent to the children's park with paddling pools. It is also conveniently across the road from the town centre. The entrance for the car park is on Hillshot.
